Tanzania Here We Come!

Ian and I board our flight, cris-crossing the US, stopping in London, and eventually landing in the capital of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, in four short days. These past couple weeks, I have taken time to reflect on how we arrived at this point. Driven by the efforts and support of numerous individuals, we have raised over $35,000, sold two vehicles, packed up our apartment, found a home for our cat, and have been supplied with school supplies and equipment for our year of teaching.

We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our friends and family, both financially and emotionally. I should add, some even physically, for those who helped us move out of our apartment too! It is evident to us that we are not doing this on our own. Words cannot express the appreciation we feel for all of you, but trust that in our hearts we could not feel closer to all of you than we do right now, even though we are soon to be thousands of miles away from you physically.

Please pray for us and the people of Tanzania that we will have the ability to interact with on a daily basis. We honestly believe this is a work of the Spirit, not the work of our own hands. Pray that the Spirit may work through us and sometimes, in spite of us!

We will update this blog as often as possible......stay tuned for updates.........
