We have arrived safely to the Heathrow Airport in London. Despite a bout of road weariness, we are faring alright. Sleeping upright in an airplane chair all night is far from ideal. We have met up with two of our other companions, Fred and Kjirstin, both from the Houston area.
We both are surviving our fair share of anxiety and fear about the adventure, but are leaning heavily on one another. During our layover here in London, the four of us are venturing out on our own to Hyde Park, which requires exchanging money, climbing aboard the London Underground, and basically fending for ourselves. It's like we're grown-ups or something! Of course, we will return to the airport in plenty of time to pass through customs and meet the rest of our crew for the final leg of our journey.
We miss all of you and are realizing that this is the first time we have really stepped out just the two of us, and instead of stepping out, its more like a giant leap! Basic mental, physical and emotional exhaustion is setting in, but we are sure we can make it through. Rest and regularity will do us well.
We love all of you very much and will be in touch when we reach Dar.

The plane(s) there is always the most hectic part, but odds are you won't remember any of it in two weeks!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you guys as you set out! You will be very missed, but doing great work. Additionally, Ian, there is a massive blue robot "super fighter" here in Korea who misses you quite a bit!
All the best,
Chris
